As part of its continued commitment to safety, sustainability, and operational excellence, GFG is seeking a qualified and competent HSE Officer for its Paper & Board Division based in Mirpurkhas, Sindh.

Position Overview – HSE Officer

The HSE Officer will be responsible for implementing and maintaining Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) systems across paper plant operations. The role requires hands-on involvement in hazard identification, risk assessment, incident investigation, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and enforce HSE Management System requirements in line with company policies and applicable regulations

• Conduct routine HSE inspections, hazard identification, and risk assessments across paper plant operations

• Monitor high-risk activities including hot work, confined space entry, work at height, electrical isolation, and lifting operations

• Lead investigations of incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions using root cause analysis techniques

• Deliver HSE trainings, toolbox talks, and safety briefings for employees and contractors

• Oversee fire prevention and fire protection systems, including inspections and emergency drills

• Maintain comprehensive HSE documentation, inspection records, registers, and compliance reports

• Coordinate with operations and maintenance teams to close safety observations and implement corrective actions

Candidate Requirements

• Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or equivalent

• Experience: Minimum 2 to 5 years of relevant HSE experience, preferably in industrial or manufacturing environments

• Strong understanding of HSE standards, regulations, and best practices

• Good communication, reporting, and coordination skills

• Local candidates will be preferred
