EmiraTalent is offering an opportunity for an experienced Robotics Engineer to join a market-leading UAE defense and autonomous vehicle company. The role focuses on designing, developing, and deploying advanced Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGVs) and Unmanned Surface Vessels (USVs).

Robotics Engineer Opportunity

The Robotics Engineer will work on autonomous systems and help develop technologies for ground and marine platforms. The position involves working across robotics software, sensors, autonomous navigation, hardware integration, and field testing.

The role is available in Dubai / Abu Dhabi and is suited to professionals with hands-on experience in autonomous robotic platforms.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be involved in architecting autonomous systems and optimizing algorithms for:

• Perception and sensor fusion
• Path and motion planning
• State estimation and localization
• Autonomous system integration
• Sensor and actuator calibration

The role also includes integrating LiDAR, Radar, cameras, payloads, and communication protocols onto autonomous platforms. Engineers will conduct both simulated and field testing of hardware and software prototypes using tools such as Gazebo, Unreal Engine, or Unity.

Additional responsibilities include designing CAD components such as mounts and small mechanical parts, managing project documentation and deliverables, and supporting cross-functional team integration.

Required Technical Skills

Candidates should have 3–5+ years of experience in robotics, particularly with autonomous ground or marine platforms such as UGVs or USVs.

Strong proficiency in C++, Python, and ROS is required, along with experience using robotics simulation tools. Candidates should also understand state estimation, localization, motion planning, and protocol integration, including CAN/NMEA2000 and TCP/IP.

Education and Preferred Skills

Applicants should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering. A Master’s degree is preferred.

Preferred additional skills include PCB design, embedded systems, CAD modeling, 3D printing, CNC, and Windows or web application development.

Excellent English communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively are also required.
