Position Overview

The Citizens Foundation (TCF) is seeking an experienced Grants Manager to lead foundation and institutional fundraising efforts. The role focuses on securing support from private, family, and corporate foundations through strategic grant writing, management, and funder stewardship.

The Grants Manager will play a critical role in expanding TCF’s funding base and strengthening long-term relationships with institutional donors.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and manage a strong pipeline of foundation and corporate grant prospects

• Write and manage grant proposals, Letters of Intent (LOIs), renewals, and reports

• Steward funders throughout the full grant lifecycle

• Track submissions, deadlines, reporting requirements, and outcomes in CRM systems

• Collaborate with program and marketing teams to develop compelling grant narratives

• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with funder requirements

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 5+ years in grants management or foundation relations

• Track Record: Proven success securing five- and six-figure grants

• Skills:

  • Strong grant writing and storytelling abilities

  • Experience managing grant pipelines and reporting

• Travel Requirement: 20–25%

• Reporting Line: Reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer
