Job Title: Associate Editor

Department: Journal of Independent Study and Research – Management Sciences & Social Sciences (JISR-MSSE)

Location: Karachi Campus

Qualifications & Experience

• Qualification: Master’s degree in Management Sciences or Social Sciences (18 years of education) or closely related field.
• Experience: Minimum 8 years of overall professional experience, out of which at least 4 years must be in a relevant editorial role within an academic journal at a reputable higher education institution or well-established organization.

Job Description

• Working with the editor to publish the journal on time

   

• Maintaining JISR office and coordination

   

• Proofreading and editing manuscripts and articles

   

• Facilitating the blind peer review process

   

• Discusses reviewers’ comments and revisions with authors.

   

• Decides publication order and priority

   

• Follows ethical standards and avoids bias.

   

• Prepares quarterly progress and status reports.

   

• Maintains records of submissions, opinions, correspondence, and publications.

   

• Explores electronic publishing and innovative methods.

   

• Proofreads other materials such as advertisements and website content
