Whitehats is looking for an experienced IT Support Field Engineer to join its technical services team in Dubai. This is a hands-on, customer-facing opportunity for IT infrastructure professionals who enjoy working directly with customers and resolving technical issues across different environments.

IT Support Field Engineer Job Details

About the IT Support Field Engineer Role

The selected candidate will provide technical support across customer environments and handle a variety of infrastructure-related issues. The position requires practical knowledge of servers, networking, cloud platforms, security solutions, backup systems, and end-user support.

As a customer-facing role, the engineer should also be comfortable communicating with clients, troubleshooting problems, and providing effective technical solutions.

The position may require travel to customer sites across Dubai and other Emirates.

Key Responsibilities and Technical Skills

Candidates should have hands-on experience in IT infrastructure and field support, including:

• Windows Server and Active Directory.
• Microsoft 365 and Azure.
• Networking, including VLAN, VPN, routing, switching, and Wi-Fi.
• VMware, Hyper-V, and physical servers.
• Firewall and networking technologies such as FortiGate, Sophos, Cisco, Ubiquiti, or similar platforms.
• Backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Veeam, Acronis, or Azure Backup.
• End-user technical support and troubleshooting.
• Customer-facing technical services and issue resolution.

IT Support Field Engineer Requirements

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on IT infrastructure or field support experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong practical knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and Azure.
• Hands-on networking experience.
• Experience with virtualization platforms and physical servers.
• Strong troubleshooting and customer-facing communication skills.
• Experience working with an MSP, IT service provider, or system integrator is strongly preferred.
• Willingness to travel to customer locations across Dubai and other Emirates.
