NetSuite Developer Job Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for developing, customizing, integrating, and maintaining solutions on the NetSuite ERP platform.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and maintaining SuiteScript 2.0/2.1 scripts, including Client, User Event, Scheduled, Map/Reduce, Suitelet, RESTlet, and Workflow Action scripts.

• Creating custom records, fields, forms, and workflows using SuiteBuilder and SuiteFlow.

• Developing and maintaining third-party integrations through APIs.

• Creating Advanced PDF and HTML templates for transactions and reports.

• Building and optimizing Saved Searches, Reports, and SuiteAnalytics Workbooks.

• Managing deployments through the SuiteCloud Development Framework (SDF).

• Performing data migrations and CSV imports or exports.

• Troubleshooting and resolving issues with existing customizations and integrations.

• Working with functional consultants and business stakeholders to understand technical requirements.

• Supporting testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), go-live activities, and NetSuite upgrades.

The role also involves maintaining technical documentation and following NetSuite coding standards, best practices, and governance limits.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Applicants should have the following qualifications and technical expertise:

• At least 3 years of hands-on NetSuite development experience.

• Strong proficiency in SuiteScript 2.0/2.1 across different script types.

• Experience with SuiteCloud Development Framework (SDF) and Git version control.

• Understanding of NetSuite modules, including Finance, Inventory, Sales, Procurement, and CRM.

• Experience developing REST and SOAP integrations with third-party systems.

• Knowledge of JavaScript ES6+, JSON, XML, and basic HTML/CSS.

• Ability to create complex Saved Searches and formula fields using SQL-like syntax.

• Familiarity with OAuth 1.0, OAuth 2.0, and Token-Based Authentication.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Candidates should also be comfortable working with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills and Additional Experience

The following qualifications and experience will be considered an advantage:

• NetSuite SuiteCloud Developer II certification.

• Experience with SuiteCommerce or SuiteCommerce Advanced (SCA).

• Knowledge of SuiteAnalytics Connect using JDBC or ODBC.

• Experience with DocuSign, Celigo, Boomi, or MuleSoft integrations.

• Familiarity with multi-subsidiary and OneWorld NetSuite environments.

• Knowledge of Agile or Scrum methodology.

• Previous experience in Finance, Retail, Healthcare, or Manufacturing.
