Position Title = > Chief Chemist (Bagasse based steam turbine Power Plant)
Employment Type = > One Year Contractual

We are looking for a competent Chief Chemist to join our team at a 30 MW cogeneration steam turbine power plant in Rahim Yar Khan. The role is responsible for leading and managing all power plant chemistry and laboratory operations while ensuring compliance with operational, environmental, and safety standards.

🕒 Experience Required: 7 Years (Steam Turbine Power Plant)

📝 Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise laboratory and plant chemistry operations, ensuring accurate chemical monitoring and compliance with plant SOPs and safe industry standards.
• Develop and implement water chemistry control programs for boilers, cooling towers, and demineralization plants to maintain system efficiency and protect equipment.
• Manage preparation, standardization, and quality control of laboratory reagents and solutions required for routine and specialized chemical testing.
• Oversee chemical dosing systems and ensure safe handling, storage, and consumption of treatment chemicals.
• Monitor and analyze fuel quality (bagasse and ash) to evaluate combustion efficiency, boiler performance, and operational optimization.
• Maintain laboratory documentation and ensure calibration and maintenance of laboratory instruments, coordinating with vendors and management for compliance and performance improvement.

🎯 Required Skills & Competencies:

• Expertise in power plant water chemistry management, including boilers, cooling towers, condensate systems, and DM plants.
• Hands-on experience with laboratory instruments, chemical analysis techniques, and quality control procedures.
• Strong knowledge of chemical dosing systems, corrosion control, scale prevention, and hazardous chemical safe handling.
• Strong analytical, reporting, and leadership skills.
