Position: Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer

Organization: Orient Petroleum Inc

Location: Field-Based (Shewa – North Waziristan, Pakistan)

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

• Managing gas plant electrical and instrumentation construction, operations, and maintenance.
• Installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and commissioning E&I and control systems.
• Inspecting, calibrating, testing, and maintaining electrical equipment.
• Supporting plant modifications, shutdowns, upgrades, and commissioning activities.
• Conducting root cause analysis to improve equipment reliability.
• Managing engineering, maintenance, and construction projects.
• Coordinating with internal departments and external contractors.
• Recommending maintenance strategies to improve plant performance and equipment availability.

Technical Expertise Required

Applicants should have experience with:

• Emerson DeltaV
• Emerson SIS
• HIMA Safety Shutdown System
• Allen-Bradley ControlLogix
• Oracle or Maximo CMMS
• Portable electrical equipment inspections
• Oil and gas plant operations
• Microsoft Windows operating environment

HSEQ & Field Responsibilities

The successful candidate will also be expected to:

• Ensure compliance with HSEQ policies and procedures.
• Participate in daily safety meetings and toolbox talks.
• Conduct HSE audits and job safety analyses.
• Supervise contractors and promote safe work practices.
• Audit compliance with management systems.
• Support continuous improvement in maintenance reliability and operational safety.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Candidates should possess:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 15+ years of hands-on experience in Electrical & Instrumentation engineering.
• Extensive knowledge of gas plant operations and control systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple engineering activities effectively.
• Experience with Oracle or Maximo CMMS is an added advantage.
