Memaar Building Systems is currently hiring a Purchase Officer to join its procurement team in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. This is an excellent opportunity for engineering graduates with procurement experience who are looking to build a successful career in the manufacturing and construction industry. The company is seeking a motivated professional with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage purchasing activities efficiently.

The selected candidate will be responsible for procuring raw materials and production consumables while ensuring cost-effective purchasing and timely deliveries. Daily responsibilities include requesting supplier quotations, preparing comparative analysis reports, issuing purchase orders, coordinating with suppliers, tracking deliveries, and maintaining procurement records. The role also involves working closely with the finance department for Letter of Credit (LC) processing, monitoring import shipments, and ensuring all purchasing documentation is accurate and complete.

Applicants should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or another Engineering discipline with 1–2 years of procurement experience, preferably in technical items within the Pre-Engineered Building (PEB) industry. Candidates should have experience using ERP procurement systems, strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, and excellent communication skills. Proficiency in Arabic will be considered an added advantage.
