Position: Shariah Advisor

Job Level: Up to Assistant Vice President (AVP)

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

• Providing strategic Shariah guidance to the organization.
• Strengthening the Shariah governance framework.
• Ensuring compliance with applicable Shariah principles and regulatory requirements.
• Advising on Islamic financial products, contracts, and documentation.
• Supporting the implementation of Shariah-compliant banking and finance practices.
• Collaborating with management to enhance institutional governance.
• Monitoring developments in Islamic finance and Shariah regulations.
• Assisting in maintaining compliance with State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) requirements.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

• Recognized Shariah qualification.
• 8–10 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience in:
  • Islamic Finance
  • Shariah Advisory
  • Islamic Banking
  • Development Finance Institution (DFI) operations
• Strong understanding of:

  • Shariah governance and compliance
• Must meet State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) Fit & Proper requirements.
