Job Title: Textile Designer

Location: Karachi

Role Overview

Creates, develops, and produces patterns, structures, and textures for woven, knitted, or printed fabrics used in fashion, home decor, and industrial applications.

Responsibilities

• Design & Print Creation: Developing, printing, or weaving patterns for garments, wallpapers, and home textiles.
• Technical Proficiency: Using CAD tools (Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator) for digital printing, creating seamless repeats, and understanding colorways.
• Material Knowledge: Understanding fibres, yarn, fabric construction (woven, knit, non-woven), and finishes.
• Product Development: Moving from trend research and mood boards to final, production-ready artwork.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Textile Design, Fashion.
• Experience: 2–3 years of Textile Designing, preferably in Textile Fashion Industries.
• MTO Option: Fresh graduates with 2 months of internship experience can also be preferred for the Management Trainee Officer (MTO) role.

Skills & Competencies

• Using CAD tools (Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator).
• Focus on eco-friendly and biodegradable materials.
• Increased use of 3D technology and digital printing for rapid, personalized design and production.
